Court Freezes Accused Persons Assets in N32bn Pension Scam

Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory, Justice Lawal Gumi, on Monday granted an interim order to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to take possession of the assets of six persons accused of allegedly defrauding the Police Pension Office to the tune of N32.8bn.

Gumi, in the same breath, gave an order freezing of the bank accounts of the accused persons pending the final determination of the corruption charges brought against them by the EFCC. View full text
