IG pledges better security in 2013

Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, has assured Nigerians of better security in the New Year, saying the citizens must collaborate to reduce to the barest minimum  crimes and criminality in the country.

He also promised to professionalise and bequeath to the nation an  effective and intelligence-driven force.

In a statement  by the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, in Abuja on Tuesday, Abubakar pledged to build a force that would respect the citizens’ fundamental rights and tackle the dynamic challenges of crime in the country. Read more
