IMF backs FG on $75 oil benchmark

The International Monetary Fund has backed the Federal Government’s decision to base the 2013 budget on a crude oil benchmark price of $75 per barrel. The Senior Resident Representative of IMF in Nigeria, Mr. Scott Rogers, in an interview with our correspondent in Abuja on Thursday, said a lower benchmark would increase the nation’s ability to save as well as reduce pressure on price increases.
