Anti Corruption Commission: The Task Ahead
On the eve of its 40th anniversary, Nigeria was reported to be the most corrupt country in the world, according to a survey published by Transparency International ( a global anti-corruption coalition). However, the efforts of the Obasanjo’s administration in fighting corruption were acknowledge by the International Organisation.
One of such efforts is the setting up of the Independent Anti-Corruption Commission (IACC) a 13 member body which has been tasked with the onerous task of investigating and penalizing those who seek to corruptly enrich themselves.
