FG to further reduce gas flaring to 2% by 2017 -Minister

Minister of Petroleum Resources Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke stated Tuesday that the Federal Government plans to reduce gas flaring to 2% by 2017.

The minister stated this at the 13th Nigerian Oil and Gas Conference in Abuja, noting that gas flaring has been reduced to less than 11% during the year from 30% in 2010, adding that on-going plans through the gas industrialization is aimed at further reducing gas flares. Read more
