Highlights from Regulatory Conversations 2.0
The second edition of Regulatory Conversations with the theme “The Nigerian Regulatory Framework in the Maritime Sector”, held on Tuesday 15th January, 2019 in Abuja. These series of conversations are aimed at promoting good governance, integrity and sound practices in Nigeria, aided by best regulatory practices. It was an overview of the challenges surrounding the operations of the maritime sector, reflecting concerns on the nation’s ports, with a view to identifying the causes of the inefficiencies faced, and proferring solutions.
Regulatory Conversations 2 was conceived in response to the challenges surrounding the operations of the Maritime sector; reflecting concerns on the nation’s ports with a view to identify the causes of the inefficiencies faced and proffer solutions.

The fallout of the deliberations at the second regulatory conversations led to a series of sting operations in the maritime sector now being carried out by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
